All C's Spring 2026 Collectors Showcase (FanExpo)
This is one of the events I try to hit at least once during its three day run. Two of these are offered each year, spring and fall, but the best part is that it is a free event with free parking. Too many events today take away so much of your money before you even get through the doors.
On Friday we got there a little before they opened, so we could plan our visit. All C's had taken over the majority of the smaller room with both their booth and silent auction. The auction was to go to Aurora Rise.
All C's had several great finds. I will fully admit that everything I bought at the event came from their cheap tables ($1-$3). When you find good deals you find good deals. At the same time some of the dealers were also just way over pricing their items. As always I recommend walking through the whole show before you buy anything. For example All C's had a Dead Pool figure on their $3 table, but another dealer was selling the exact same figure in the same condition for $15. So be careful.
In addition to the dealers there were also several special guests. The above picture is of Colorado's Blade. He is a local cosplayer that I first met a few years ago at one of the Pokémon Go events in Boulder. There were artists, comic book creators, and actors. One of the guests, I won't say which, was actually rude, acted like they didn't want to be at the event, and was not nice to guests trying to interact with them. I both witnessed their rudeness towards people and experienced it myself. This past year has been the first year where I have experienced rude guests at events and rudeness with fellow press organizations. I've been a part of the geek world for over 37 years now and doing press stuff for around 7, and there seems to be a big shift going on right now in how people are treating each other.
We went back on Sunday to see what additional items had been marked down. Doing this event on Easter weekend kept it from being as busy as I have seen this event be in the past. Bad choice of weekend, but good for the people that were able to make it. Even with it being a slow show the charity auction was jumping on Sunday. Many people kept trying to out bid each other. Then there were a few items that only had 1 bid on them. One of the popular items was a cloth poster that some teens were basically passing the paper back and forth trying to out bid each other. When AJ finally picked up the sheet one teen was visibly upset that he hadn't had the chance to place one more bid, but he showed good sportsmanship by shaking hands with the winner. That actually surprised me in a good way.
Overall it was a good event and I would recommend it to any collectors.
