This year there is one major change. No Friday. I thought this was a little weird since most cons run three days and this con did run on Friday last year. In a way I can kind of understand. Last year there was little going on, and the dealers area wasn't even open. Also last year sitting in the lobby area a lot of seniors were coming in wanting to use the facility, but being turned away for the con. I think them not doing Friday will both give more time/resources to the senior community and give them more time to get set up.
Like last year the event is at the Fort Collins Senior Center. There are pluses and minuses for this location. One of the major pluses is that it is within close walking distance to both food and drink. When I say close, I mean right across the street. There is both restaurants and a gas station. For minuses the major one is parking. This year I did like how they are trying to have people save the close up parking for those with mobility issues. This is something that a lot of cons do not focus on. A few more negatives that people need to be aware of are that the location is small and when full with people it can feel claustrophobic and it gets super hot because of a lack of ventilation. If you have social anxiety be aware that there will be a lot of interactions in a small space. Also bring layers of close and if you are cosplaying make sure you have ways to stay cool. I recommend an ice vest if you have a thick cosplay or fur suit.

If you have kids in your party: write your name + phone number on the back of the badge in the provided section! Lost kiddos are brought to Attendee Check-In.
Bring a Water Bottle - if you don't hydrate, you might diedrate. The Senior Center has updated its HVAC system and we're testing out dedicated water wagons available to all attendees this year.
Bring Your ID/Wallet/Credit Card - to buy art, of course. Most vendors use Square or Paypal, some use Venmo, and a few use Cash.
Bring A Map For Your Journey - pick up a program at Attendee Check-In, but also know you can check the schedule in advance on our website or in the EventEny App!
If you need help, ASK! - look for a member of our team with a BLUE Volunteer badge or a PURPLE Staff badge, or head to attendee check-in. We also have on site security to assist with any issues.
Bring a Food Plan - you can bring your own snacks, no biggie. These restaurants are within walking distance of FoCo Comic Con/Senior Center and offering discounts with your FC3 Badge:
Simmer - 10% off with badge (right across the street)
Totally '80's Pizza - free soda/tea with your personal pizza purchase (a 5-minute walk)
If you prefer to stay inside FC3, Glacier Ice Cream will be serving up pretzels, small bites, and ice cream from Shuttle Bay 2.
Other Nearby Restaurants w/out a Discount but within walking distance:
Qdoba, Jimmy John's, Mod Pizza, Gibbs Bagels, Tokyo Joe's, Burger King, Simply Thai, and Berry Blendz.
Hang On To Your Badge: it also comes with $10 of Chipper's Fun Bucks good for bowling, laser tag, arcade, or axe throwing.
RED LOTS: please help us prioritize the RED lots above for folks with accessibility needs. They are the closest to the Con.
GRAY LOTS: If you're just planning a short visit to the Con, the gray lots are a 5-10 minute walk away, but this is shared space with the City Park and there will be league games happening, meaning parking may be hard to find.
ORANGE LOTS: these are your best bet at CSU's tennis center, and only a 15-minute walk away.
There may be other nearby parking available, but please respect nearby businesses and signage to avoid getting towed.
