ayA Con 2024: Getting Ready

The major thing that people need to be aware of this year is that the con is FREE!!!!! There will be additional ticketed events like the fashion show, but the main con is free. This means that there is no reason to miss this con.

Some things to know: The con will still be at the McNichols Civic Center, but does not include the art museum this year. Parking in the heart of downtown is a nightmare and expensive. I would recommend taking public transportation. Civic center station is within walking distance for most people, but if ADA applies to your life then it may be hard for you to get to this venue. I'm sort of abled bodied most days, but will have trouble getting here. Food is also super hard to find within walking distance with the closest being on the 16th street mall, also expect high food prices. There may be food trucks near, but I would not rely on it.

Panels start at noon on Friday and go through Sunday. Friday focuses on youth and educators. This con says that they welcome all fandoms and even Halloween costumes are allowed. I will admit, last year I didn't see many people dressing up or cosplaying.

Hope to see everyone there.
