Five Below Squishmallows Release

At least people weren't going crazy and buying them all up.

All C's Fan Expo

This was a fun little toy con hosted by All Cs, a local comic book store. Their mascot, pictured with me above, was not only taking pictures with people, but he was also handing out prizes. Like he gave me a comic that was a Free Comic Book Day leftover and a $25 gift card to Nickle-a-Play.

Free Art Show at the Denver Convention Center

Most of the art was over priced and I only left with the free mini print they were handing out if you shared the event on your social media.

Denver Mineral, Fossil, Gem, Jewelry Show (9/9-9/18)

This is one of my favorite mineral shows in Denver because it is both massive and FREE. I hadn't been able to get to them on opening weekend due to Colorado Festival of Horror being the same weekend. This year it was not as many of the buildings in the area as it has had in the past. The first year I went to it, it was at its largest but it seems to shrink a little each year.

Rocks under black lights are always fun.

Not all the items you find here match what you think you will find. You will find also find things like clothes and cultural products.

The one thing I don't like about this show is that a lot of fake stuff is sold here and the venders do not have signs up telling people. This means that people that don't have a background in this can be taken for a lot of money. One type of these items is dyed crystals. These can come out looking very eye catching and beautiful, but their color is artificial. Another thing I saw venders doing this year that I had not seen in the past was making golden resin 'fake amber' and putting plastic things in them. Not only are these just really bad fakes, but they were charging huge prices for them.

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck at Park Meadows Mall

Really long lines for overpriced goods. I just avoid the food products and focus on the items that I can keep for years, not a one shot and gone. These are the reason why I don't go every year to the truck and only go every few years just to see what new products they have. This year they were still selling facemasks. While in line I got to talk to a guy who had taken time out of his day to stand in line for his mom since she had to be at work and could not go herself. It was really nice to see someone willing to do that.

Pokemon Go Community Day in Boulder Colorado

Another day up in Boulder. This time I interacted more with the other players instead of just focusing on playing. A guy even took the time to try and help Mommy Geek get better with curve balls.

Five Below Squishmallows Event

After stopping by Rocky Mountain Con I ran over to the closest Five Below to try and get the Squishmallows I wanted. Luckily this was not one of the releases where there were high demand Squishallows being released.

Rocky Mountain Con's Christmas in July Toy Show

This was a great little toy show that had all different types of products.

They also had a great charity there.

This vendor had cute stone geeky statues that I hadn't seen at other events. She is a small business looking to grow.

Pokemon Go Community Day in Boulder Colorado

I really do not understand why Boulder was chosen or even the little shopping center there since neither make sense based on the geography of the state or even the different areas in Boulder that would have worked better. Even with that it was still fun to come together with other players and having Niantic reps there handing out goodies was nice.
