Marvel Voices #1 (Free Comic Book Day 2022)

Marvel Voices is Marvel's response to the DEI/JEDI/IDEA movement. At the same time comic books have been addressing these types of concepts since they began, but not in such a targeted way. 

This specific comic I feel spends more time on the LGBTQ+ topics then anything else. It does open with a longer story around Moon Girl, but she is not as interesting as other Marvel characters they could have led with. Even for a sampler I felt like some of the sections were way too short. I would have liked to have more about the Shark character, but their story was only one side of one page.

I like the direction that this series can go, but as far as a sampler it did nothing to make me want to read more of it. 2 stars out of 5 or a D.
