My Hero Academia Free Comic Book Summer (2019)

 This was one of the comics that was given out for free for the 2019 Free Comic Book Summer that replaced Free Comic Book Day due to the covid pandemic. This book had 2 different stories in it. The first was from My Hero Academia. It starts out with action as it drops you into a fight scene between Midoriya and Bakugo. The problem is if you are picking up this comic and know nothing about My Hero Academia then you are entirely lost and have no idea why these two characters are fighting. One of the main points to Free Comic Book Day is to let people try new series to see if they may want to read more. This defeats that purpose because new readers would be lost in what they are reading. It would have been better if there would have been something about how Midoriya got his powers or something about the world they live in. The second story in this comic was The Promised Neverland. This story snip it gave just enough info about both the characters and the world to draw you in. I really want to know what is beyond the line they can not cross. It actually made me want to read more of this series.I will give this comic 4 stars out of 5 or a B based mostly on how well done the section of The Promised Neverland was presented.
