The Monster Squad (1987)
This was a very campy movie that is like mixing the Goonies with the Lost Boys. In this movie a group of kids have to try and stop Dracula’s evil plan. It pulls many aspects from other classic movie set ups like Frankenstein making friends with a little girl and needing a virgin to read a spell. Carl Thibault did a very good job with the Wolfman and really made you feel for what his character was going through. The makeup was just average for the time period the film was released. 3 stars out of 5 or a C, because of all the movies that have kids battling the forces of evil this one just does not have anything that makes it stand out.
