Attack the Block (2010)

 

When I started watching the movie I was like ‘that kid looks really familiar.’ Then it hit. Finn!!!!!!  The main character was played by John Boyega. The personality that he brought to his character was a drastic difference from Finn. This kid was a rough and tumble street kid, but even with that he was guided by a moral set that included looking after his friends. The movie takes place in London and the kids have to fight an alien invasion while still dealing with local cops and a drug lord. I actually liked this movie for how the characters were able to develop relationships when everything around them was going crazy. I also liked how they created the aliens and explained why the aliens had such an issue with the kids. Great special effects. 4 stars out of 5.
