Eli Roth’s History of Horror

For all of you horror geeks out there this series is great. It breaks horror into different parts and then looks at movies that presented that feature. Some episodes are better than others, but I would see this series being great to go along with a college film course that focuses on horror films. I know that some of the local schools offer horror film classes and this would be a great series for those students. Right now the current episodes being shown is from season 2. You can also catch them if you have On Demand by Xfinity. It is shown/produced by AMC and if you can find it there. So far I liked the body horror one. It talked a lot about how both society and the times impacted the creators. I never knew that The Fly (modern version) was supposed to also be a commentary on the AIDS epidemic. Another cool thing about this series is all the guests they bring on to talk about the films. If you’re looking for something to watch as we get closer to Halloween, check out this series. 4 stars out of 5 or a B+.
