The Mad Monster (1942)

A classic about a mad scientist creating a monster that will become his downfall. As an academic I can really relate with how he fills about his fellow academics. Being an academic is not for the thin skinned and to be truthful they are not nice to each other and like rubbing in each other’s failures. The problem is releasing a monster that you really have no way to control except intimidation is a bad idea. Some of the transformations are hidden by a hat, but for the time period the face makeup was not that bad. The plot is somewhat predictable, but may have still been newish enough to movie goers in the 40s. 4 stars out of 5 or a B.
