Arkham Horror

This was a beast of a game to braille. The cards are very text heavy and in small print. While this makes for good story telling/game development it makes it a nightmare for trying to adapt this game for people with vision disabilities. As a reader in the brailling processes this game was very stressful on the voice and actually caused my throat to get sore. Nancy and I, Julia, worked on this game for at least 5 sessions (2 hours each for a total of 10 hours) and we are still not complete. We managed to get all but 96 cards done so it can now at least be played as long as there is at least one visual able person to cover the remaining cards. There is probably at least another 4 hours needed to complete this game, but at present it looks like we will be moving on just because of all the time we have already dumped into this game and lost time we could have spent on prepping other games. From the reader’s perspective I would give this game a 1 out of 5 stars or F grade because of how text heavy and the difficulty of the brailling process.
